Modular vs Manufactured
Understanding Modular Homes
A modular home is a home that’s constructed in a factory and transported to your site on a flatbed truck. They are constructed under controlled conditions and meet high quality-control objectives before they are delivered.
Which option is right for you?
Whether modular homes or manufactured homes are a better fit for you and your family will vary based on a number of factors. First, consider your budget. Though there are exceptions, manufactured homes are typically more affordable.
You’ll also consider mobility. One of the great advantages of manufactured homes is the fact that they can be moved to a new location if you move. Note that they also lose value more quickly than modular homes, so if you plan to stick around Iowa you may want to choose a modular home.

Understanding Manufactured Homes
Manufactured homes are affordable, small, and have less stringent standards than modular and site-built homes. The main advantage is that they’re mobile and affordable, and they come in 3 sizes: single-wide, double-wide, and triple-wide.
These homes must also conform to Housing and Urban Development (HUD) code, must be inspected, are made in factories in sections, do not have a permanent foundation, and are never more than one story tall.
Once you choose the right manufactured home for your needs, it can be delivered to your site within days. There are not always many customization options available, but when you work with us, you’ll have many models to choose from.
